A New Contest: Almost There!

Mardi Gras begins a new contest for Pixie-Productions! We are welcoming Tatiana, our Frog Princess, this month. Tatiana is a princess that overcame hardship and followed her dreams. In her honor, we are going to give away a FREE Frog Princess party. Participants are to send in a short essay detailing their own family's hardships and why their daughter deserves to win a FREE Frog Princess party. We ask that participants ONLY enter if their child is a fan of the Frog Princess; we will run contests for other princesses in the future, so please! Save this one for those who would most enjoy it.

The prize, from here on referred to as a "Frog Princess Party" can be one of two things, depending on the winner's decision: choice number 1 is a one-hour party with our Frog Princess. This party includes face painting, party favors, and plenty of games. If contest winner would like to use the prize before the child's birthday, then there is choice number 2, which is our princess play-date package. This option is a 45 minute one-on-one meeting with the princess. It includes a gift, balloons, and a story. Travel fees will not apply to this contest--the prize is totally free, no matter your location!

This contest runs from March 8th 2011 to June 8th, 2011. Winners will be announced on June 15th, 2011. To enter your essay, please e-mail it to contactus@pixie-productions.com! Include your name, your child's name and age, and your phone number. We wish everyone the best of luck and cannot wait to pixie-dust someone's day to perfection!

Here Comes the Sun

What a month we have had! Every weekend has had at least one, if not more, parties, with a few events thrown in during the week. We met many new princesses, both at birthday parties and at our Princess Party at the Family Video in Mcalester! Cinderella, Belle, the Little Mermaid, and Snow White have been very hard at work!

And Miss Rapunzel made a surprise re-debut this month, as well! Her page on our site will be updated within the next couple weeks. If you'd like to catch a glimpse of her, check out our facebook page at this link.

But we've another princess to welcome, very soon! On March 8th (which is Mardi Gras), we will welcome Tatiana, our Frog Princess! Tatiana worked hard to achieve her dreams of opening her own business before she became a princess, but she remembers well the difficulties she overcame. So, our Frog Princess is going to offer a give away, the prize being a FREE party or visit with her! More details will come soon, but this will be an essay contest and the winner will be someone who has overcome or is experiencing their own hardships. We cannot wait for this contest!

While March has plenty of goodies in store, it is April that we'd like to discuss. Not only will we be hosting our bake sale benefit, but we have also been asked to bring some enchantment to a local school event. Rielle, Belle, and Cinderella will don their ballgowns to attend Ms. Helen's Fairy-Tale Fashion show! We are so excited to have been asked to participate.

Lastly, as we recieve more and more requests, we will soon be expanding our cast. Keep an eye out for introductions and words of welcome!

Who Do You Love?

So far, our enchantment remains untouched by this winter weather! We have several parties this weekend, and not one has been called off. This will certainly be a busy weekend!

We've also managed to hammer through more details about our bake sale benifet! On Saturday, April 2nd (please note the date change!), we will be hosting a bake sale to benefit Prevent Child Abuse Oklahoma at the Broken Arrow Neinhaus community center! We've already had a few bakeries offer their resources, but we are open to more companies having a hand in this event. We are also considering creating a sort of mini-party with our bake sale---having face painters and balloon twisters on hand, but we will see how that part comes together!

But, there's something more immediate on our horizon! Saturday, February 12th in Mcalister, Oklahoma we will be hosting a pre-Valentine's day Princess party! Cinderella, the Little Mermaid, and Belle will host games, a costume contest, and paint faces! This event is free for all, and a great way to beat winter blues! We will also have the means to book parties on hand that day, so if you want to check us out and book then and there, we can get you scheduled! We are so excited for this event--who wouldn't want to hear "Happy Valentine's day!" from a fairy-tale princess?

Finally, we will have a special surprise for everyone shortly! Expect photos of an early appearance soon!

We're Ready for Spring!

We've had a lot of wonderful things happen, recently, which is why there have been so few updates. In short--we've been busy magic-makers!

First, we'd like to thank all of our friends who took advantage of our special offer. We are so happy that we could bring a little extra magic to your big day! We have several upcoming parties that will receive gourmet cupcakes or cookies, and we cannot wait to present these enchanting creations!

Second, a lot of new events have been created. First, on March 12 we will be hosting a bake sale! 3 of our princesses will be out in the Tulsa area, meeting and greeting new friends who have a sweet tooth! We will have volunteers there to help handle packaging and finances, but also to take any new bookings made that day. But best of all, all proceeds are going to benefit Prevent Child Abuse Oklahoma, which is Cinderella's favorite charity!

There's more! We are also planning an Easter Egg hunt for April 23rd--the Saturday before Easter Sunday! There, children will hunt eggs with special prizes inside. Some eggs will include candy, some with small trinkets, and some will include party package giveaways! We would love to receive feedback on what you would most like out of this experience! This event will most likely feature our princesses; however, we are considering TinkerBell and her friends as hosts. More information on both of these events to come!

And, as the best things come in 3s, we have another event. Rapunzel will be in MCalester, OK on March 29th (that's a Tuesday) for the release of Tangled! She will be at Family Video, where she will host a Meet&Greet for all her new friends! Best of all, our Rapunzel will be going in for a make-over before this event, so she will be in a brand new dress and hairstyle!

Now, for something more immediate: take a look at our site! We have added a few things--namely, 2 more Under $100 Value packages, such as a princess-style picnic and a big sister spell! But, that's not all. We are also collaborating with kiddie couture artist Leigha Marie! Leigha Marie creates lush tutus and tutu costumes for little princesses. For now, parents can order these small luxuries separately and have them mailed before the party or brought by the character, but we are also creating new party packages that include these custom-made tailored-to-specifications creations. Leigha Marie's talents, however, are not limited to tutus. For an entirely custom piece, parents can e-mail us and request original designs. Our characters don't wear factory made frocks, so why should your little girl? With Leigha Marie's help, your mini-princess can have an entirely unique party costume. We are so lucky to work with this fairy godmother!

Finally, we have more prizes in the works! Our first will be a give-away of one Frog Princess party. This contest will be more than just entering your name and will be aimed at families facing hardships. Our other prize will be a series of special discounts. We are looking for parents who are the trendsetters of the PTA--parents who host enviable parties and are hip on what's hep! More to come soon!

After all our bookings, we still have a few openings left for the next few months, and we want to fill up our calendar! So, for any party bookings made in the next two weeks, we will INCLUDE cake/cupcakes/cookies for your party! The party can be held on any date you like, but the booking MUST be made in the next two weeks! Bookings for our Happily Ever After, Heartwish, and Smile and a Song packages will get a free cake that will match your character theme. Any flavor is available! For any Once Upon a Time bookings, we will include enough cupcakes for each of your guest. Cupcakes will be decorated to match your theme. And for all Party pop-ins, we will enclude character-matching cookies for each party goer. These sweets will be done by a professional baker and will add to your party magic!

This offer is ONLY good for parties booked in the next two weeks, but the party can be held whatever date you choose. If the party is after January 15th, we can offer Sleeping Beauty or our Frog Princess, in addition to our current cast of characters.

A Time to Grow

Wow, this has been such a great month! We've taken a few more bookings and jumped all over re-vamping some of our characters and finally getting new ones out. Sleeping Beauty and our Frog Princess (Tatiana) should make their debuts soon! While we wanted them to arrive sooner, we absolutely refuse to compromise our standards. We want to produce the best possible characters so, unfortunately, it's been taking some time!

Belle visited Winterfest recently, where we had a great photoshoot with our new camera! Belle met fans and enjoyed introducing herself to all the princes and princesses. She even met a few older fans who jumped at the chance to take pictures. It is such a joy to see someone light up at a surprise character visit!

January is looking to be a big month. Aside from private events, many of our characters will be participating in photoshoots, so that our website is better equipped to showcase the quality of our work. We hope to continue doing public shoots, and we will keep everyone updated about the "when and where" of all public appearances.

Finally, we'd like to wish everyone a happy new year. This will be a year of cheer and wonder, of that we are sure!

Jingle Belle, Jingle Belle, Jingle Belle Rock!

Wow, what a season we're having!

This past Saturday Jingles, our Holiday Elf, made it out to the Broken Arrow library to spend time with Old St. Nick and library-goers. It was a blast! All the children were so well-behaved! Jingles was sure to let everyone know if they were on the naughty or nice list, and gave out plenty of candy canes to Santa's fans. She listened with all her pointy-eared might to the holiday hopes of the kids and plans on working extra hard to get those Lego sets and Rapunzel dolls finished at Santa's Workshop!

And Monday was the St. Francis Hospital Christmas party, so that was even more holiday spirit packed into this past week. Belle and Cinderella met many special families. Our princesses sang, danced, read stories (Cinderella's original Mouse in the Manger tale was a big hit), and played games with all of the children. Belle and Cinderella especially enjoyed giving out holiday gifts and posing for pictures. With all the requests and excitement, we'll be sure to include a few other princesses in the fun next time!

But wait! There's more!

Belle was also thrilled to debut her new ballgown! A wonderful enchantress created this dress and it has already brought so many compliments! She'll even be wearing it when she visits Winterfest this Saturday, at the BOK center from 4-6. There, Belle will pose for pictures, ride in the carriage, and enjoy the winter wonderland.

With this year almost over, we have plenty in store for 2011. Other than our private party bookings, we hope to host a princess meet-and-greet in McCalister, have Rapunzel sharing her adventures at a local video store when Tangled comes out on DVD, and a few other special surprises. Thank you so much to everyone who has shared their smiles, parties, ideas, and support with Pixie-Productions. Oklahoma is truly a magical kingdom full of love!

A Merry Month for Magic

We're all excited for the Holiday season, around here! Between a few of our elves at the Broken Arrow Library on the 11th and Princesses at the St. Francis party on the 13th, we have a weekend of winter-y fun coming up. Cinderella and Belle will debuting some extra special things that day, so we're doing all the preparations we can.

Finally, Sleeping Beauty will make her debut fairly soon. We've been trying to find the right everything for this princess! I don't mean just fabric and wig, either; we're also looking for the right charity to set her up with. At the moment, we are considering Infant Crisis Service, Make-a-Wish Foundation, or the Children's Medical Research Program. All of these non-profit organizations do amazing work, but our Aurora will only be able to work with one! If you have a preference, please let us know your thoughts!

One last thing. If you're looking for a great gift for the holidays, we DO offer gift certificates for any amount. Purchasing one of our gift certificates for a winter holiday means freeing up your wallet for birthday gifts when the day rolls around! It's a lovely way to make all birthday wishes come true, and it's been especially helpful for winter birthdays.

We are long overdue for an update! This past week has been so busy that we seem to have lost track of the time. Well, for starters, there's a bit of bad news: our character expansion will be slowed down dramatically. We are working hard to make sure what we currently have is the best it can be, and we feel it is more important to have a few quality characters than many mediocre characters. Our "adventure-party" line up (which includes male characters) has been, unfortunately, pushed back to June. This may seem like a long time, but we are searching for the perfect team members and character designs. However, with that said, if a character request is made at least 2 weeks before the party date, we can make that happen. If you want a bat-themed super hero, you can have that. If you want a ballerina, well, we can get you that, too! This just means our pre-made characters will be on hold, but all special requests can be met.

This past week, we've been preparing for events. Our Christmas party pop-in, in particular, is something we are looking forward too! We've been sifting through an array of Christmas activity options, trying to find what fits best for our audience.

We've also been going through our pictures from recent events before they are sent out. While our photographer (free with all parties) is fantastic, certain things (like lighting and red eye) require editing. I really wish we could share our photos with everyone (we respect parents' rights and do not distribute photos without permission), because the looks on the children's faces are so wonderful!

Finally, as we mentioned character expansion before, I'd like to go ahead and list all the characters currently planned. They do NOT have set dates, yet, but if any are requested, we are happy to bump them to the top of our list:

Glitterific Characters: Sleeping Beauty, The Frog Princess, Secret Popstar (a perfect fit for Hannah Montana parties!), *Pocahontas, *Mulan, Marie Antoinette

Adventure-Party Characters: The Dark Crusader (a bat-themed hero), Super! (a classic super-hero type), SuperGal, The Widow, Space Ranger, Aladdin, Mutant Turtles (this is a truly special project, which is going to require intensive work), Harley (a jester-type villain), *Pocahontas, *Mulan, and much more!

Yes, That's The Sound of Our Own Trumpet

Hello to all! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, full of adventure and magic. The Pixie-Productions sewing needles have been stitching steadily, so that our last few princesses may make their debut soon. We've been hard at work, studying the details that we deem necessary for these storybook heroines. Normally, we don't like to toot our own horn, but we're a different breed of party entertainers, and we like to shine at our work!

While looking at other companies across the country (through sites, videos, and reading), we've found a few key traits make us unique. Aside from our charity-association program, continuous volunteering, and highly trained actresses, we really do go above and beyond. First, our actors do not just put on costumes and go. We carefully study the mannerisms, voice inflection, accents, and personality of our characters. Children are intelligent and will pick up on "someone in a costume." We want to give them, and their parents, a quality performance. Second, the costumes that we put on are created with the character's status in mind. Princess Cinderella would not be seen in a drab gown made of cheap satin, so we don't make that. We use casa satin, strong interior fabrics, and crepe satin to make our gowns properly. And, yes, hoop skirts and petticoats are a must! Our actors are also made-up to resemble the appropriate character. We sometimes spend as much as an hour contouring one entertainer's face properly, curling the eyelashes just right, and adding the perfect amount of shimmer under the eyebrows. It is an intense (and long) process, but we scrutinize each detail so that we offer the best.

All of those things are really just the surface of our quality. We tailor and create games, stories, and songs to fit the needs of each event. We understand that hiring a princess means more than "looking pretty." It's about changing lives and making memories!

Alright, alright. That really is enough crown-polishing on our part. Time to get back to sewing and gearing up for the events of this weekend.

Touch Lives, Change Your Own

What a magical day yesterday was! Our Little Mermaid and the great adventurer Dr. Jones (or Indy, to his friends; he'll appear as one of our more boy-friendly characters this holiday season) visited the children at Hillcrest hospital. It was a truly heart-warming experience to bring smiles to the kids faces, especially after learning a little more about them. We told stories, sang songs, and colored (personally, I'm a big fan of one little boy's pink and blue picture of Dr. Jones). And the grown-ups were just as playful as the kids! Hillcrest really does seem to be a special hospital, and we can't wait to go back again!

This past weekend consisted of a lot of planning for us! There's quite a bit in store for our characters and party plans, we just have to work out little bugs and hitches with some of our ideas before we can bring them to life, but our ideas are unique and fun. I can't wait to share them with you!

Speaking of plans, it looks like our Magic Lamp Special will come to an end soon! While this party package for THREE princesses (a $250 value at only $150) was initially used to introduce ourselves in an economical way, it has fulfilled its purpose. This offer will only be good through Christmas. That means if a date for this package is reserved before Christmas (no matter when the date is), this price is available. After that, it will go off the shelf forever! A new deal will be offered for our more masculine parties ("adventure parties" debut this holiday season), though!

Finally, we've had a lot of inquiries recently for January and February birthdays. Since Oklahoma can be really cruel during the winter, we're going to offer something truly special: if weather threatens your party, you get a rain check. As soon as you get a new date picked out, let us know, and you will still get your character. That offer is good for anything on the client's end, such as low attendance rate, your location being closed off due to ice, or losing electricity in a storm. We understand that safety is a parent's number one concern. As for weather-issues on our part, if we are unable to attend your party due to weather and you would not like a raincheck, we will fully refund your deposit AND send a letter full of birthday wishes from the character to your birthday girl (or boy!). *We believe weather should never dictate birthday fun!

November Notes

What a month! October was really good to us, but November is already looking like it will be even more special. First, there's our Hillcrest visit next week. This will most likely turn into a regular event for us, because it's the kind of thing we've always wanted to do: bring smiles to those in need. Charity and happiness are at the heart of our company, so we feel really great about this.

But Hillcrest isn't the only local hospital benefiting from our love of goodwill; next month, on December 13th, we will be dropping in on the St. Francis Children's Hospital Holiday party. Our current line-up for this event includes Belle and Cinderella, but we're not entirely sure about our male character (though we HAVE started to develop our adventure-party cast. More on that next week!). We're really looking forward to this and all of our holiday parties.

Despite inquiries and suggestions concerning our Rapunzel promoting Tangled this month, we will not be doing this. We'd love to, but we simply have too much going on, with birthdays, parties, events, and actual Thanksgiving. We're conserving our energies for where we are most needed, but thank you for the suggestions!

Finally, we'd like to congratulate the winner of our Once Upon a Time give-away! She has been contacted and her date has been reserved. Congratulations and we cannot wait to help with your event! Our next give-away will be this weekend at the Oklahoma Animal Alliance Fur Ball, where one of our party packages will be in the silent auction to help raise money for this non-profit organization. Good luck to all who enter, and best wishes for the fundraiser!

Grotto of Grinning

It's been a long, busy week for us. This past Saturday was our last Haunted Castle visit. Jessamine and Rielle spent the evening in HalloweenLand, where the eyes of little girls widened with surprise at the presence of real princesses. Jessamine told tailored tales of magic carpets and pumpkin patches, while Rielle shared her collection of whoosits and whatsits. Our mermaid showed off her sparkley fins, too! One little girl in particular lost her mermaid trinket and nearly cried until Rielle gave her a new one. It was a truly special moment, knowing that we were creating memories. Our girls left that night with stars in their eyes---no, literally, we were half-blind from all the photo-taking! Haunted Castle was a delightful event. Ms. Cunningham heartily thanked us for volunteering our time, and we promised to return next season.

On Sunday, the Little Mermaid had her photo-shoot at the local aquarium (which is also her associated charity). We'd been toying with the idea of a shoot there for a while, but when the riverbank seemed too dangerous for picture-taking, it was decided. First, we shot Rielle in her yellow dress. Within seconds of entering the building, she was rushed by a tiny girl who recognized Rielle for the mermaid she was, and we stopped for a moment to let the girl's mom take a few quick photos. Later on, when Rielle was mermaided-out, she had several more families ask for photos. I'd like the share the pictures from those little moments (I have never seen bigger smiles!), but I feel it would be the wrong thing to do, as we didn't have waivers or anything.

Anyway! Our next public event will be November the 8th, when we go visit the pediatric ward at Hillcrest hospital. We intend to have our mermaid and one of our upcoming male characters there. Normally, we don't perform any copyrighted music, but as this is a non-profit and special event, our mermaid will do a sing-along of a well-known calypso number. We're also planning a few games and stories to share.

Finally, we HAVE picked our winner for our Once Upon a Time giveaway, but are waiting to contact her before we announce anything. All those who entered properly will also be given a small prize, because we really appreciate each and everyone we meet. The winner will be announced proper on Tuesday, so look for next week's post.

A Chance to Share Happiness

Just one post-worthy things today!

First, and most exciting: we have been approved to visit children at the Hillcrest hospital. This will most likely become a regular event for Pixie-Productions. We have heard great things about Hillcrest, and have already interacted with several folks who work there (all of them have been wonderful to talk to). Charity and goodwill are at the heart of what we do, so this really has me jumping for joy. Two of our characters will visit in the coming weeks--one of which will be stationed at Halloween Land at Haunted Castle from 6-8pm (after that, she will be roaming and relieved by another princess). You'll just have to come by to see who it is!

This weekend is also the last chance to register for the Once Upon a Time giveaway and win a free party. Good luck to all who have already entered.

Bring Joy to Someone In Need (part 1)

This past Saturday was the Stone Bluff Cellars Wine Festival, and we had an amazing time! The initial arrival was difficult, due to a few bad directions and some unfamiliar territory, but we always depart a few hours before events start, so we finally made it just in time. The staff at Stone Bluff is incredible--everyone is so friendly! We immediately had a lot of pictures taken, were ambushed by children (and their parents), and met some very sweet vendors. The site its self was beautiful, and we hope to see this festival grow.

In other news, the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals has requested for us to help them in their gala auction next month. As most of you know, the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is one of our pet (harhar) charities and is linked to Snow White. The OAA holds this event every year to benefit homeless animals, and they do a magnificent job. Charity is the heart of what we want to do, so this is very exciting for us! We will be giving away our Once Upon a Time packages, just as we are doing in our current contest (last day to sign up is October 23rd--this weekend at the Haunted Castle!). This will most likely be our final contest for the year, but we plan to do more in the future!

Who Doesn't Want to BE a Princess?

So, as we get deeper and deeper into this rabbit hole, we're finding most of our news happens towards the middle of the week, so we'll be including Thursday updates. Which is wonderful, because yesterday was a very productive day for Pixie-Productions!

As I've noted before, we're hiring local talent to help us create our own music--something unique to perform at events. Well, we worked through a lot of the details yesterday, and the first song is almost completed. I say first because we'd eventually like to have special songs for each character, but right now we're going to test this out with one "theme" song. I'm really impressed with our composer. I asked him for something with a familiar feel, but unique. What he presented was truly special, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you! I'm really, really impressed and at some point I'll have to see if he'd be okay with me bragging more about his work, haha!

We've also introduced our Arabian Princess, Jessamine, into our line-up. Though her name IS Arabic, it is also a lovely night-blooming flower found in the West Indies. Our Jessamine wears a low ponytail, simple jeweled headband, and a forest green bedlah. There were a lot of difficulties when construction on this outfit began, but once the right pattern was located, it came together fast. Jessamine's associated charity is Work of Women, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of women throughout the world.

Just a quick update: we've added the 6th out of 7 characters, but her page is waiting on a photoshoot. We're also in the midst of ironing out the details of a really cool upcoming event, and looking into options for our adventure party characters. While Tuesday updates will continue, we'll also be adding in the occasional Thursday updated, to keep our schedule predictable. Hopefully, the next update will be this coming Thursday!

Pixie-Productions Gets Bigger

A whole lot has happened to Pixie-Productions, and it's not just our brand new layout! Do you remember the garden project I was working on? Well, it's just about finished and now I can tell you the truth about it! Each flower was a character, and now those characters have made their debut and are up on our site. We still have our two fairies, but also available are Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), Cinderella, Snow White, the Little Mermaid, and Rapunzel. Our Arabian Princess and Sleeping Beauty's pages are waiting on photo-shoots, but they should be up this month!

We have also done something no other company has done before. Each of our characters are associated with a specific charity, so when you book that character a portion of the proceeds will go to that charity! It is a unique service we offer. And this isn't just temporary, this is permanent. We are not here for the money, we are here to touch lives!

Pixie-Productions now offers several packages, too! We have 4 basic party packages and 1 character special. Our special limited-time offer is also something no other company has done before! We want our new princesses to do as much as they can, so we are offering a Magic Lamp package. In this package, you can book any THREE characters for the same price as one of our lower-end packages. It's a $250 deal for only $150 and YES! Some of the proceeds STILL go to charity. And our parties don't have to be for children, either. Ask about our free NeverLand upgrade to make a party more grown-up appropriate.

Aside from those 5 packages and available add-ons, we offer UNDER $100. Some of these packages are as low as $60! They range from 30-minute birthday party visits, get well hello, congratulations drop-bys, and bedtime stories! We are the first company in Oklahoma to offer these specialties, so we're very proud.

Finally, as far as actual updates go, we are doing one more unique thing: during the month of October, we will be giving away 1 basic party package. You can see more information at our Site Sweets, but essentially, anyone who signs up in person (you'll have to come see us at our public appearances!) can enter a drawing to win our Once Upon a Time party package (which includes 1 hour of interaction with a character of choice, 40 miles of travel, 1 story, 3 games, and the crowning ceremony). The party does not have to be in October, of course. That's just when we're giving it away. The winner will be contact no later than October 31st and all who sign up can see a video of the drawing done on YouTube. The winner may pick any of our characters, but may also request a customized character. We will work hard to meet any request.

Speaking of YouTube, WOW! Our videos have received nearly 2,000 hits in the short time we've been up! Ask-a-Fairy will be back, soon (we hope to upload another video this week), as well as a few videos for our new characters. We will be doing something fresh and new with them, so our princesses will not be answering questions, but they will be doing something special.

This weekend was wonderful. Thank you to everyone who made it so! We played games with a girl scout troop, made hundreds of people smile, taught little girls how to pose like a princess, told stories, and just had a generally wonderful time. We will be out at Haunted Castle again this Saturday and hope to see more of you!

Racing Towards Our Finish Lines

This past week has been nothing short of frightening! It feels like a month has gone by since the last update, yet it's only been seven days.

The "Garden Project" is almost complete. Details will be finished this week, but phases Rose, Honeysuckle, Moonflower, Poppy, and Daisy are done. For those of you who like to guess what comes next, I promise you have yet to guess what the garden project is. The name is a misnomer and, while it has everything to do with pixie-productions, it is entirely unrelated to fairies. A sneak preview of this project will be available at Haunted Castle this weekend.

Speaking of Haunted Castle, there's another super-special treat we will have out there. While you can come by and ask us about it anytime, we will make an official announcement October 5th. You'll want to come out soon, though. This is huge!

The site layout is still coming along nicely. Everything should be ready to go this Sunday. It is a HUGE overhaul, so Pixie-Productions.com will be closed that day for maintenance.

I know this update has been incredibly brief, but there is so much going on behind the scenes. The October 5th update is going to be crazy, so check back in a week.

How Does Our Garden Grow?

Our Honeysuckle phase is almost done! Well, the part I'm doing anyway! There's one piece I wasn't confident in, so I found someone who is much more capable than I am, so I am quite sure it'll be even more beautiful than the Rose piece. I've changed the steps up a big, to give us a better color scheme, so Moonflower is next. You guys don't know what I'm talking about, I KNOW, but trust me! It's going to be lovely ;)

In entirely unrelated news, we have a new cast member! Kristina Michelle signed up with Pixie-Productions this past weekend. Like the rest of our crew, Kristina is detail-oriented, charitably-minded, and talented. Her full Pixie-Productions bio will be up with the new layout, but I can give you some quick details. She has performed in several amateur productions, studied modeling and acting, and participated in interactive theater. Her love of tabletop games and fantasy novels helps her bring storybook characters to life. She brings a special fairy-tale element to all events! Along with Kristina Michelle, we have a behind-the-scenes crew member who will have his bio on the new site. While his main talents are in the technical and critical realms, he will also be in charge of our less feminine characters (which should be out around Christmas).

Speaking of characters, I am so excited about our latest vision! As promised (promised many times, really, but the end result will knock your socks off, so I think we can brag a little), we plan to debut not only male characters, but a few more female characters. I can't announce the official release OR specifics yet, but our patrician characters will be one-of-a-kind.

Alright, so, the layout. Well, it's going to be different. Our current setup is fun and free-spirited, but we are looking towards a more stream-lined fairytale look. What we have coming up will feature our logo, a more intensive link system, and a few fun elements. It will be pristine, but fun---a true reflection of our work. Also, we have a new video coming out this week, then one more right before Haunted Castle. We're trying to keep a steady Youtube schedule, but it's a lot less rigid than the blog schedule.

Wings and Kings

Wow, what a crazy week! Costumes for new characters are being chosen, so our new friends will be here in time for the holidays! Nothing is official, yet, but we have a goal number in mind for characters. That number really depends on our pending recruit, though. If she signs on, it means we can do more. If not, and no hard feelings if not, then that limits us. I'd like to do the planned number, but it really isn't worth taking on an actor who is unable to perform to our standards. Essentially, good help is hard to find.

In other news, I've got a 7 part project in the works. I really can't say much about it, but putting up notices about the progress makes me giddy, so I've developed a flower-themed code to do so. I know it's silly, but I just have to find SOME WAY to tell you what's going on! So, phase Rose is almost finished, which means Honeysuckle is up next. I am incredibley pleased with how Rose has turned out. I'm gaining a lot of confidence through this endeavor, and Rose has certainly had a hand in it. I feel really confident about Honeysuckle, too, but stage 5 & 6 (Poppy and Moonflower) feel really daunting. Thank goodness for talented friends, I guess!

This weekend was King's Champion Med. Faire. We had a great time at this little place. There were lots of old friends there to greet us, of course, but we made so many new friends! We even met a little girl with a fairy-like name (Hello, Chrysanthemum!). Several little girls wanted to know what kind of fairies we are, why we can talk and some fairies can't, and who our fairy queen was. There were other fairies there, too! Those fairies hadn't been granted human-speak, though, so our fairies felt very special indeed! Though the fairy pit is new, it looks like something that will grow into a big attraction in the next few years. We did have a small snag, however. The KCMF fairies were certainly pretty and interesting, but we kept having little ones come talk to US instead! I'm sure this was frustrating to the talented fairy-folk out there that day, so we went off to a different part of the faire and had just as many fun interactions there. If we make it out there next year, we'll definitely have other characters out to play. Pixie-productions will never be known for stepping on toes!

And speaking of public appearances: we're one step closer to our big announcement! I know I'd previously said we'd release full information the last week of September, but I've been advised to wait until after it actually begins, so October 5th will be the big break. But if you want to find out sooner--and be a part of this spectacular madness!--then come see us at Haunted Castle in October. Our first night out is October 2nd, and we'll spend a lot of time in Halloween Land.

Business Transaction with the Tooth Fairy

This past week has been a whirlwind of inspiration. New character obstacles that we have previously faced are slowly dissolving! A stroke of brilliance came when I stumbled upon a fairytale image and, well, the character expansion is sure to be a hit. As usual, I can't say too much, but oh goodness! I'm bursting at the seams with excitement. And it looks like Pixie-Productions will be welcoming new cast members along with character expansion! Who's who is a secret, but I can tell you all our new crew members are talented and oh-so professional!

A new video was posted last week, and it has certainly helped our views soar. This video marks the first Ask a Fairy team-up. It's really cute, and has been well-received. Be sure to go take a look! Since posting that video, we've had a couple people offering to help out with advertising, four new viewers (totaling 13), 2 new subscribers (totaling 4--please subscribe!), 40 more channel views (now 148), and a new upload view total (1,591 to date! WOW, GUYS!). Once more, thank you to all of our friends (new and old), family members, and fans for your support.

On a more personal note, my oral surgery went very well today. Should things continue to progress in the current manner, we WILL be at King's Champion this weekend. If anything changes, a notice will be posted. So, keep checking back for updates! Our super-special announcement will be made October 5th, and more official information on character expansion will be made very, very soon.

Finally: CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah Nicole for earning 1st place in a costume contest this past weekend! She is an extremely talented costumer, and definitely deserved her prize! Once more, congratulations little noise fairy!

Our Noisey Fairy Gets Noisey!

Greetings from our fairy headquarters. I've wanted to update so much over the past week, but I'm trying to stick to an updating schedule. More videos are up, making it a total of 4: that's 2 ask a fairy-s, 1 old video, and 1 "extra." Shooting last Sunday was a lot of fun! Fizzle found someone wonderful (thank you!) to film us, and we even had a special friend there to watch as we filmed. We did our best to mind our own business, of course, but so many people asked what we were doing and wanted to know more about our company. That really brought us a few smiles, so hello to our new Pixie-Production friends. We have enough footage now to add a lot more, but I want the update on that to be fairly regular as well, so for now you should check out Fizzle (who now dislikes the name Thistle. . .sigh. Noise fairies. . .) and her own edition of fairy questions. Fizzle will also be sporting a new outfit for Haunted Castle! A recent firecracker incident has inspired her to use a different color scheme, as well.

Our character question and answer sessions have really taken off. We're gathering hit after hit (we've frozen up our account on Youtube. I guess good for us?), commenters, subscribers, and even have others mimicking what we do. It's all been very flattering, so we know we're doing the right thing.

And speaking of the right thing, we are looking forward to our charity work. We'll talk more about this in December, but the way we plan to do this is truly unique. No other company has done what we intend to do. Our company is very special indeed.

Finally, we have forged a friendship with another local entertainment company called EverAfter. While we plan to be at Haunted Castle for only a few nights (our October is jam-packed with events), EverAfter plans to be out there every night of the run, so make sure you say hello to them! October is going to be a really big month for us. You'll see why, come the last weekend in September. We've got a big announcement, then!

Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust are Paying Off!

Well, now you can! Pixie-Productions now has its very own Youtube page. So far, only one round of questions has been uploaded, but I'm looking to do more this weekend! To see it, go here.
In other news, we've also cleaned up the webpage, making navigation easier. Soon enough, I'll get the F.A.Q. done and package listings uploaded.

As for upcoming information, this weekend will hopefully bring a fairy shoot, complete with a proportionally perfect backdrop. I still have to clear it with someone, but hopefully this location will also bring on the chance to visit a few old friends.

There are a few greater things, yet! We will most likely be out interacting at King's Champion Medieval Faire. It's something I would have preferred to make official, but the events of the Tuesday before will decide whether or not we can do anything that weekend. Let's see, what else? Oh, we're going to be in the Muskogee Pheonix soon (not entirely sure on the date, but possibly before the weekend) as a new listing, so a super-special thank you goes to Cathy for being so helpful! Finally, tea parties may be in Pixpro's future. We're still waiting to hear back from Consumer Protection (we adhere to all laws and rules so as to offer our clients the very best product). Finally, Thistle's outfit is looking to get an overhaul within the coming weeks. She'll be sporting something louder and more fanciful by the time we make our jaunt to the Wine Festival.

Alright, now for something concrete. I'm currently working with an extremely talented composer friend of mine. We're looking to improve the current song quality of Pixie-Productions. Pretty soon, we'll have our own line-up of tunes. We want to create something with the melodic quality of those Disney songs we all grew up with. But don't worry! Our ditties will be 100% original!

Our Own Mainland!

That's right, Pixie-Productions has a blog now. But it's no surprise, with all the planning up ahead! In the next few months, we'll be out and around for promotional activities AND adding a slew of new characters (including holiday-themed personas!). And that's not even the tip of the iceberg. There's much more, behind the scenes and online. For now, though, this is it!
Expect updates at least every Tuesday or so, because there's an awful lot to be said.
